Old paths for a new age

New Focus Church maintains a doctrinal position aligned to the historical confessions of faith from the time of the Reformation and we respect and admire the doctrinal clarity of a number of movements from the past. However, we also believe the Word of God is a living word and endeavour to make the gospel message personal and relevant for men and women today.

Who we are

Our Purpose

Is to provide an opportunity for God’s people to worship Him, and to reach people with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ who may be unable to attend a public service because of age, illness, location or other restrictions.

Our Congregation

Is a mix of ages, nationalities and backgrounds but we are united in a common desire to learn about God and share fellowship in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although we do not have a physical church building we meet together in regular fellowship. We welcome the curious and the committed to come and share with us in our services.

Our Pastor

Peter L. Meney has ministered in churches around the world and pastored congregations in the United Kingdom and the United States. He preaches from the King James Version of the Bible and has been influenced by such preachers as John Gill and Robert Hawker.

Magazine

New Focus Magazine is an occasional web-based magazine containing articles and resources promoting the gospel of free and sovereign grace. Back copies can be viewed here and new copies will be sent free of charge to those supplying an email address.

Books

We promote and sell a number of publications from publishing company Go Publications which we believe to be helpful and faithful to the Word of God. These are from authors such as the late Don Fortner, George Ella, and Allan Jellett. We hope to make these titles available in store on this site soon but in the meantime they can be found here.

What We Believe

For those eager for a doctrinal statement - and who have a spare hour to indulge their passion, here is a link to some documents from a few (hundred) years ago that we have come to admire and appreciate:
